How can we humans fail mankind so miserably?  Posted by Hello

It is not often that i write but i need to exorcise the ghosts and fears in me.

When i was standing on the killing fields in cambodia, never have i, in all my travels felt such compelling grief. I am not able to comprehen the complexity of a generation of supposedly bright leaders who in the name of power have been so utterly corrupted by the desire to hang onto it that thousands lay beneath the very ground my feet stood on with their bones peeping out of the grass that has overgrown the ground.

I stood in the memorial for a good 10 minutes before taking these photos. Within me i questioned my own beliefs. Was it right to take a photo that represents the unwarranted end of so many? The conflict in me was depressing to say the least. But to not take it was as if i was going to turn a blind eye to history and a lesson that these innocent unwillingly gave their lives for. Make no mistake, i took these pictures and i regret it; for they represent how evil the hearts of Man are.

To be honest, i have no idea how to express such saddness, rarely am i lacking in that area but its irresponsible for me to put into words what i can only grief upon.

Wars are never pretty. This is not picture of war but of genocide. Let it not happen again.

I feel so sorry, for the souls of those who departed in those dark times and frightened, by the depth of evil that resides in us; all of us.
